Corporate America at its Finest

I saw this:

Man told employer not to celebrate his birthday. He was awarded $450,000 after unwanted party.

Always remember that the cold faceless company you work for will gladly fire you at any time for the slightest of things. It doesn't matter if that company have four employees or hundreds or thousands.

You work for them at their pleasure and under all of their rules. They do not have to listen to you or your "demands" or even things you ask for.

This guy told them not to throw a party because it would trigger a panic attack. Which it did. Then they fired him for having that attack.

It's all total Corporate BS.

Listen to your employees!

I know you won't.

Why does nothing work as it is supposed to work in the US?

When I see this headline

Georgia county still pursuing spaceport that voters rejected

It makes me very angry and only serves as more proof that voting in this country is a waste of time and simply does not work.

The article goes on to say

...that argues the state constitution doesn’t allow voters to veto government projects

Oh? It doesn't? Why the hell not?

Governments exist to serve the people. If the people vote and win, end of project, end of discussion.

This country was founded on the basis that if you, as a person, do not like your government, you have to duty and the authority to overthrow it. So stop saying that a document that created the state itself, and was created by people, doesn't support the interested of the people. That is ridiculous.

The Jan 6th Riots were and are completely justified. I did not support them, but I support their right to take place. More is coming. America is broken.

People are getting sick and tired of bad service, eye-watering financial rape and the general illogic of all the bullshit of absolutely everything that goes on here. Where does it end? When does it stop?

When will things get fixed and get better?

Turbo Tax? Screw Turbo Tax!

Federal Trade Commission accuses Intuit of deceptively advertising TurboTax as free

You wanna know what Turbo Tax is? They are the reason you don't just get a bill from our government; which already has all the information they need to calculate what I (/ you) owe.

They consistently use a bait-switch tactic of letting you start your taxes for free and during the process using confusing messages that hope you accidently upgrade. Or worse they get to a spot three quarters of the way in and tell you because you selected column A on page 2 you have to use their paid version.

The world would be better without Turbo Tax and it's total BS. They exist because they constantly lobby congress to keep their fleecing practices legal and stop the government from changing in the correct direction.

And hey, IRS, send me a bill! You already know where I work and what I earned --- so leave me alone! It is illogical to ask me to report my data and penalize me if I do that wrong, when you already have all this information!

ENOUGH! STOP THE STUPID!

The Earth is not afraid of Us

The Great Barrier Reef is still suffering extensive damage caused by warming oceans

Let us all remember that the Earth is 4.5 billion, yeah, with a B, years old. It has been here long before us and it will be here long after us.

If we are causing problems and changing things the Earth will survive and adapt as it has done for all these eons.

I think all too often climate change is mentioned and we are meant to feel guilty... and we should, but not for the reason we think. If we are causing species to die out and greenhouse gases to multiply those are terrible things and should be stopped because that is the responsible thing to do. We all need to do something that most people seem very unwilling to do these days and that is take responsibility for our own actions and then all of us need to take responsibility collectively for our planet.

Even if we don't, however, the Earth will survive. Species and climates will adapt, new ebbs and flows will develop.

Some of the coral in the Great Barrier Reef will survive and it will be the genesis of a whole new and amazing life system under the sea.

We are merely one of many catalysts for change on this planet. Let us take responsibility where we should and let the Earth handle the rest.

Politicians Lie?

What kind of super-moron wrote this story and for whom?

The truth in political advertising: 'You're allowed to lie'

Politics is, and always will be, a game of lies. If you don't understand that, then you shouldn't vote. If you think you voting means anything to anyone it doesn't. It's a waste of time.

Don't even get me started on the BS that is the US Electoral college. It should be eliminated. Now.

It is not a search engine, it's a marketing data collection box

Lawsuit claims Google's Order Online button directs customers away from restaurants' sites

Stop thinking that Google is a search engine that will assist you in finding anything on the web. It may have been that for a brief, shining second way back in its infancy.  At a time when all search engines were struggling to figure out how to make money.

Once Google realized the money is not in giving people good search results they stopped doing that and switched to collecting and selling data on you -- without your permission.

Today, that is all they do and they do it well.

Someday far in the future people will say, "Remember when it was legal to steal and collect personal data without a users permission?"

"Scary times. You could never get away with that today."

I can't wait for that future to happen right now.

Remember: Google has no interest in giving you good search results. They just don't care and since you don't seem to either everyone loses.

Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! You are going to kill people!

NHTSA greenlights self-driving cars without manual controls

Open your ears and listen closely.

The world does NOT need self-driving cars. EVER.

They are going to kill people.

Get it though your stupid American head and stop it now before anyone losses their life.

PLEASE!

Hey, Stupid...

I wish we were all much smarter and much more international and well-read because when I see headlines like this, I want to puke.

Poutine, not Putin: French restaurant chain clarifies name after receiving threats

I know Americans are stupid, especially on the world stage, and they can't even find location on the globe our government is attacking, but come on. Americans are also vastly overweight from a love of food. Shouldn't we at least know the difference between cheese fries with gravy and a Russian moron with delusions of grandeur and world domination?

Please, people. Learn. Think.

If you don't we are all, already, very doomed.

Age is Good for Wine, ...Until it becomes Vinegar

I recently saw an article with this title:

Racial justice activists say Biden's State of the Union address missed the mark

Well... yeah. Of course it did! He's an 80 year old white man!

For some reason the United States seems to want to elect 70+ year old white men. Other countries have much younger and more progressive leadership.

It's a problem that wont go away fully until all the baby-boomers are dead. That sounds harsh but their kind of thinking can't be changed, it only dies out.

Another thing, actions speak louder than words. Maybe he didn't mention some things and maybe he IS working on those things behind the scenes. If that is the case then that is more important than talking about it.

Talk is cheap especially in Washington among politicians.

Age brings wisdom ...and conservative values. You can't have it both ways.

The great they say that:

Sanctions will have a “devastating” impact on Russia

I think a few things here. Firstly that Putin is no idiot. He planned ahead for this tactic. I'm sure it wont hurt Russia as bad as we hope.

What we should (and can only) truly hope for is that sanctions will trickle down and hurt the Russian people enough to oust their leader or their government. That is probably a bloody affair for them and they will not be eager to do so. They have not grown up like us with the ideals of freedom and justice as deeply engrained as we have. They will not rise up quickly.

Humans are very flexible in what they need to live. Its pretty minimal and therefore a whole lot of hurt would have to befall the Russian people for a long time before they took any action that might endanger their lives.

And rightly so.

I wish them the best of luck and pledge them all of my support.

The State of the Union

I'll give you the State of the Union.

Half of America agrees with you. Simple. Easy.

The other half doesn't care about anything you love and most of them would gladly kill you, your spouse and your babies and even set fire to your pets if it helped them get more money or what they desire.

The United States is a 50/50 divided nation at the time of this writing. Democracy doesn't work with only two choices. It fails.

The new Civil War has started. The Capitol Riots were only the beginning.

So, it's time stock up on TP via Amazon's next day delivery and dust off the bunker in the back yard.

Don't be a Moron

So this popped up in my news feeds.

Americans are at higher risk of Russian cyberattacks after Ukraine invasion...

Really? You mean a foreign power that gladly invades its neighbor because it feels it owns the land isn't going to protect me or my country from its criminals?

No one can own land anyway, the whole concept is stupid, the original tribal Americans had it correct. It's like saying I own that tree over there. Why? Because I said so... and hey do you wanna buy it for a ten grand?

Sure!

You... are a moron.

Pot, Meet Kettle

Russia tells Google to restrict ads it says contain inaccurate information on casualties

So... one overpowering evil entity is trying to control another overpowering evil entity? I say anything or anyone that attacks Google has my vote, usually... but Russia? No.

I want to endorse it, but I cannot.

The human atrocities being committed are more important than my devout hatred of an increasingly more and more useless search engine.

Hey Google... why can't I remove items I've already seen from my search f*cking results?

Because that would limit the ads I see? Oh, right got it. It's NOT about me finding what I want, just about your marketing engine, and the more I struggle, and search and re-search and search again, the more money you make.

The Illogic of Waste

So... sadly my prediction on US, Russia and the Ukraine has come to pass. The world watched and did nothing as Putin invaded.

Where was the UN on all this? Why is the US response the only one being talked about? Why did we do nothing to help these people?

Now we (the World) are imposing sanctions.

When have sanctions ever changed anyone's behavior? Never.

I once heard about a study done somewhere about parents bringing their kids late to some weekly event. It doesn't matter what that event was, but the organizers got tired of the late arrivals and decided the parents would be fined a small amount of money each time they were late.

Did this fix the problem? No. It revealed that people are very happy to pay a fine if they can do as they please. It also didn't matter to them how much that fine was. The fines were increased and increased and still tardiness did not stop.

This is exactly the effect that sanctions will have on Putin. None.

I am saddened that human beings can still be okay with others being killed as long as it's not them. I will once more misquote Spock from Star Trek, "The Illogic of Waste."

Let's not waste more lives or resources sanctioning hate mongers who are glad to pay our made up fines and do as they please anyway.

Watchlist

Death in Paradise - UK

A formulaic detective show set in the Caribbean that's lasted through four leads. Each detective inspector (or DI) often breaks the case based on something odd in the crime scene. I don't really know why I love it. I just do.

I look forward to new episodes every year. As far as I know this is also the only detective show on TV that, when the first show-lead, wanted to exit the show, they killed him (!) and made his murder the first case for his successor to solve. Brilliant writing.

Susan Calman's Grand Day Out - UK

Susan travels all over the UK and finds interesting and challenging things (for her) to do and show us. She's cheeky at worst and downright funny at best. I'll never see the UK like this, so going along, is always a pleasure for a serious anglophile like me.

The Amazing Race - US

My hus-bear and I watch this show religiously, though I think we often have a different take on it at times. Either way, we both do seem to enjoy our dialogs about any particular couple's struggling through a task or detour. We especially love to make fun when one of a pair gets weepy and whiney and the lead in to the commercial break is a teary, bratty scream of, "I can't do it!".

Maybe we're just mean.

The Secret Life of Our Pets - UK

I've always had cats. I love most all animals. We currently have two male ginger tabby's we simply dote on constantly (named Sirrus and Achenar, of course). This show has some fun facts and interesting things. When a dog tells their "mommie"  she has a thorn in her paw by pressing "paw" - "hurt" buttons on the floor I was astounded. It really speaks to what animals are thinking and how complicated their thoughts might be. Acky? Do you want a snackie?

The Gilded Age - US

I am watching this show, but I am constantly saying out loud in my empty TV room, to myself -- Why? Why Julian is it sooooooo boring? Why does it have to be so bad? I want to like it but I just can't. I am going to finish it though. I have to be able to say that I watched (all of) it.

Cindy Nixon and Christine Baranski talking about nothing ... is a waste of my life.

I just wish that a writer, who is now also a producer, could make something worthy of his talents and not this milk-toast, emotionally dead, bullsh--.

The Yorkshire Auction House - UK

Welcome to the small village of Kirkbymoorside and meet Angus Ashworth. An auctioneer with a gift and... he's so pleasing on the eyes. He's just a big bearded handsome teddy-bear of a man, that I am sure is 100% heterosexual but, that I'd love to give a hug to. Or see naked! Oops, did I type that out loud?

It's mostly about when someone has recently passed and their loved ones want to clean out their house. The things they find and the prices they fetch. It's totally fluff TV, but, for me at least, it's fun.

Got Kids?

I was perusing my news feeds today and found an article with this title.

Why the US doesn’t have universal child care

I think we all know why America doesn't have universal child care. First, we don't have universal health care for adults and kids alike. Second if you want to know what America thinks about kids, read the next article I found in the same feed on the same day.

US gunmaker unveils semi-automatic rifle marketed to kids

It seems America only cares for kids when they have money to spend and a burning desire to shoot their school friends.

I don't doubt it as the American public school system operates under the same rules as the American prison system. There needs to be a complete reversal on public schools and how they work.

In the mean time when your uneducated stunted child eagerly buys their first gun and takes out most of their school class, we can call that another tragedy, on the news for five minutes, and then go back to our normal lives blissfully unaffected because it didn't happen to us.

Is there Hope for LGBTQ+ in Cuba?

A gay hotel on a repressive island.

Cuba's first LGBTQ hotel? With a second on the way? Cuba? Really?

I'm sure it's very beautiful and has a bunch of hospitality stars, but a government that has such a bad record of human right abuses shouldn't be masking it's beliefs with tourist dollars.

When we got here we signed a waiver saying tolerance is the only way here and that if you're not tolerant of people you'll be asked to leave.

No one should have to sign anything to stay in a resort and separate is never equal. Isolated pockets of acceptance should never be a goal. Widespread acceptance is always the goal.

But... I can relent on this and to misquote Spock: Sometimes tolerance of the few assists with getting to the tolerance of the many.

We have seen this before where a small change is needed before acceptance can become a reality.

President Clinton was attacked for only releasing the Don't Ask Don't Tell when he ran on a platform of opening the military fully to the LGBTQ population. However, it was the correct thing to do at the time. It opened the door. Now we have a fully integrated military. That is because once the door was open people realized that a little gay was ok. Once that happens, all people can relax, make friends and all gay becomes ok.

So is it a good thing? Maybe. Let's hope.

Social Media should Govern... itself?

"Social Media Should Censor Itself, Without Government Intervention, Most Americans Say"

Well, I would say... "Most Americans" are stupid.

No industry regulates itself. That would be like Senators voting for term limits. No one would vote themselves out of power.

Regulation only comes with a mandated outside party for governance and to setup clear rules.

This is why we have the FAA for Airlines and the FDA for food safety. Before we had the FDA, companies were quite happy to put deadly chemicals (like Borax) in our food and sell it to us at the lowest price. Companies would gladly kill you if they could be sure to get your wallet, first.

Big Companies are Evil.

All of them.

Take it... as is, or leave it

China censors LGBTQ-related plotline in 'Friends'

Would you buy the Mona Lisa and paint over the colors you don't like? And if you did are you really then displaying the real Mona Lisa? No. You are not.

It is the same here with the Chinese government altering or removing plot lines or dialog from the classic US created TV Series.

I think the best way to deal with this problem is simple. The creators of the art, in this case the show, should revoke their broadcast rights unless their episodes air unaltered. That would make them think.

It might hit them where they care.

Always remember that creators have control. If you don't want someone chopping up your art, don't give it to them. It is as simple as that. Access Denied.

Neil Young has the correct idea. Withholding your art from a company (or government) you disagree with is the correct way to handle it. You want it, then you take it as is or you don't get it.

End of discussion.

In todays, influencer and you-are-the-product culture, we should all be extremely careful who we give ourselves and our art to.

In America, Omicron will Kill you

You're more likely to die from COVID-19 in the US than other high income countries amid omicron, data suggests

I hope that is not a shock to you, or even news. I don't think it's even newsworthy.

We (the US of  A) claim to have the best healthcare in the world.

That is a very false claim.

We don't.

The United Nations says it is a crime for any company to profit from a human beings health or sufferings. However the US does that every single moment. We need national healthcare, no doctor price gouging and full accountability (receipts that list the prices for everything) before we can even make a dent in the problem. That will probably never happen.

There is no healthcare in America. There is only overpriced, non-help for your ailments.

So are people more likely to die from COVID-19 in the US? Yes, of course.

Good news, though, for those that want actual healthcare, there is a very simple solution -- leave the US. You'll feel better almost instantly.

Something to be Positive About

IRS Won't Use Facial Recognition for Taxpayers After Lawmakers Object

I was NOT a fan of this concept. I am very glad I will not be forced to give my personal information to a private company that could be hacked.

I also hear the facial rec. is confusing as to how it works and that it could be racially biased. So it's a good thing no one has to do this.

I am shocked that anything like this actually happened. Usually I disagree with something our government or society says its doing and it does it anyway. This is definitely something to be positive about.

Yay!

Yet Another Reason Not to Fly

Yet another reason not to fly ---anywhere, ever.

Experts say Delta's call for an unruly passenger no-fly list invites legal turbulence

I think things are getting out of hand. Airlines have enough control over us. They can legally hold you on the plane for as long as they want. Isn't that cruel and unusual punishment for someone who cant stand cramped spaces and other people for very long? It is. Plus, even if you don't suffer from those problems, it is just ethically wrong.

The only reason (the only reason) we submit to taking our clothes off is because we think it will make things safe. But it wont. Did you know that the TSA consistently fails to find bombs during drills and tests? These people are not specialists in their field. They are one step beyond asking if you want fries with that, which makes the whole thing ridiculous. Stop doing it.

Why would you make me fly south to fly north west? Illogical, wasteful, bullshit. This makes sense only to the Airline, not the end-user.

Now they want to legally blacklist people who speak up about their bad time? Un-freakin-believable!

Let's kill the homeless too, that would solve that problem, right? Stop it, already.

There is a solution: Provide better service, safety and a lower price and you won't need a bad passenger list.

I just think there are too many rules and it's totally out of control. The airlines are out of control. How many more reasons do you need to stop flying? Unless changes are made that are positive to the whole customer experience and it's safety you can count me out.

Which is good, because I would - be - one of those pissed-off passengers on your freakin no-fly list.

Batman (1966) - US

It's so bad its good! I have a love of cheese, both the foodstuff and the visual kind, TV, movies, etc. 1970's badly dubbed Godzilla films, old school Doctor who (with shaky sets), and this... its all cheesy goodness wrapped in a candy coated fun wrapper. When I was a kid I never realized the batmobile had no headlights. It explains why (almost) all the action occurs during the day-time though. I have to say Roddy McDowell as the bookworm as been so far my favorite villain although Morticia(!) (or the actress, Carolyne Jones) as Marsha the Queen of Diamonds was wicked fun too, ...darling.

I literally just told you - UK

A game-show where they give you the answers before they ask the questions. I love its simple premise and surprising difficulty and of course the host, a living UK, institution, Jimmy Carr.

And Just like that... - US

It's NOT Sex and the City. Thank god. I wouldn't want to see all that flab having sex in every episode. It IS the next chapter for those characters and it is still well written and still deliciously fun to watch!

Star Trek Prodigy - US

Nickelodeon makes this show, but its clearly written for the adult as well. It is  good old family entertainment in the rich fabric of the Star Trek universe and canon. It has all the makings of a great spin-off, which it is.

The Book of Boba Fett - US

Love it. Not as much as the Mandalorian, but... it has got the right pace, good action, jokes, and lots of  secrets left to unlock and explore inside the Star Wars arena - a place we all seem to genuinely love. Kudos to Jon Favreau for keeping the characters bad-ass and the plots interesting and fun.

Hard Quiz - AU

Tom Gleeson grills contestants (on the barbie) until they drop down to the final two who go head to head on their specialized subjects in a bid for the "Limited Edition" Big Brass mug. I feel the earlier shows were more acerbic, but it remains good fun and I do laugh watching it. Laughter is the worlds magic.

Another billionaire Moron does as he pleases?

More than 1,000 Dutch residents plan to throw rotten eggs at Jeff Bezos' superyacht...

Jeff Bezos is an American corporate billionaire, that makes him a grade-A asshole by definition. If he wanted to  go around punching babies, he could pay his lawyers to make that work. If he wanted to be president he could certainly buy the office. Trump proved it IS for sale to the highest bidder.

Just think that every time you auto-re-order your toilet paper on Amazon, they kill a puppy. I'm sure you don't care, though, as long as you can wipe your ass with precision regularity.

Amazon, Google, Walmart... Bad, bad, bad things. Stop using them, because they are using you.

Are you kidding me? No?

Black Man Arrested, Held in Jail for Days, Mistaken for Older White Man With Same Name

Yes that actually happened. I think that man should legally be allowed to punch any of those officials in the face--- several times.

I can only hope that his lawsuit pays him handsomely.

Although money is never justice.

I have an ask... can we stop this?

A Tennessee school district has voted to ban the Holocaust graphic novel 'Maus'

Unintelligent medieval people who believe in spirits and witches ban books. Anyone born after 1800 should know better. Books are merely an expression of ideas and ideas are not good or evil. Ideas should never be repressed.

Thoughts should always be allowed to be shared. It is how we move on as humans.

So, stop banning books already.

Consider this is me slapping you in the face! Stop it!

The US, Putin and the Ukraine

So what do I predict will happen with Putin and Ukraine? Putin will do whatever he wants in Ukraine. Nothing the US or anyone says will change his mind and force him to do otherwise. There is no evidence that Putin is swayed in any way, on any decision he's ever made, by anyone.

A bully doesn't change his mind and stop bullying people because someone asked him not to or told him it was impolite.

Dictators don't do anything they don't want to do, and they do everything they want to do, and the world has yet to stop them.

Maybe if Russia was suspected of having WMDs we could convince the American public to take him out. Oh, wait, that's been done -- and didn't go well either.

When I see headlines like:

Google Accused Of 'Constant Surveillance', Deceptive Methods to Maintain Access to User Data

or

A new lawsuit claims Google tracks people's location without permission.

I think to myself...

Doesn't Google do everything without anyone's approval?

In America having lots and lots of money means you can do anything you want. Kill babies, touch kids, extort data and cash, deliver no customer service, steal, lie, cheat, poison people and the environment, because as long as you can pay your lawyer(s), you're good to go in the good ole US of A.

If you live here and don't get that I really can't help you. If you don't live here, that's great news for you.

Google, however, is a worldwide problem.

We all need to stop using it that is the only way it can ever die (or change). Get it off your phone, don't use it at home, never stream their content. The only power we have is the power of our money and attention. If you don't give them that, they are nothing.

More California Wildfire News... Really?

Clearly the state has no handle on this and I see there are two ways to resolve this problem.

It is like when people who live in the desert say they have no food to eat, when that is the case there are two clear options. Learn to grow some kind of food in the soil you have ...or move.

It's the same with the California wildfires. Learn to control them, and I do mean now, or move people out of the areas that are prone to fire. It's not complicated. Anyone standing in front of an on-coming freight train and doesn't step out of the way, doesn't get my sympathy at their death and despair.

California needs to pick one and move on because doing nothing and crying wolf about it every month is just falling on deaf ears.

Vienna Blood - UK, Austria

On the verge of forensic science and criminal profiling a young Freudian and a hard-nosed, brutish detective become unlikely friends as they struggle to solve intricate and disturbing murders in and around 1900s Vienna.

The Wheel - UK

Its a fun, bright, music-bopping, game show, with a huge wheel. Michael McIntyre thought of the concept and he is the perfect, funny and charming host. Of course when those brits get questions about the US wrong I do shout at my TV.

Vintage Voltage - UK

Taking classic (European) cars and making them electric? Yes, please. I'd love an American version of this show too, but Americans aren't this smart.

Secrets of the Royal Palaces - UK

Samantha Bonds sultry voice narrates us through some of the most amazing age-old palaces in the UK. If you can't visit them directly this is the next best thing!

Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock - US

Did you know it was back? OMFG. This was thee iconic TV when I has a teenager and it's still great!

Back in Time for Dinner - Canada

I love this show. Being a Foodie, interested in history and nostalgia, I literally eat this up. It is a show that makes me smile and anything that can do that for Mister Super Negative is down-right must see TV.

I don't need Google to do anything for me

I recently saw a headline of:

"Google Home can help make your grocery shopping easier"

The only thing I want google to do, is go kill itself. Stop using Google. Stop giving away your information and freedom.

Google's motto used to be "Don't be Evil", but they changed it... so they could be evil.

So... 'nuff said about Google.

...and yes I do know that Google owns blogger.com, but hey, if they can be evil, why can't I, use them?

Self Driving trucks on the road with me? No.

There seems to be this really stupid but pervasive idea that people want self driving cars.  They don't but they haven't realized it yet. Not until they kill enough people. That is sad to say, but exactly how it is going to happen.

Now I am reading that they want self driving semi-trucks on the road too? Um... No.

Just no.

I don't want to be on the road with them. If that happens I will stop driving.

It cannot be allowed to happen.

I am a software engineer. I have been for over 30 years. I would never, ever trust a computer to drive me anywhere and neither should you.

When these things make decisions for us in emergencies and mount the pavement and kill five people who do you think is responsible? The automaker? No. You are. You will go to jail for the rest of your life for sitting quietly inside the vehicle and not taking action.

And what about bad weather? We can't even get people to handle half an inch of snow in the southern states without massive pileups.

Again, this is a very bad idea that needs to go away. Stop it. Make it stop!

Please! This time think before people die!

I am not kidding!

I don't always know where my Super Negativity (SN) comes from.

Well, okay, I DO know. My ever-present super negative Mom and super negative Dad installed all my super negative buttons early on ---and pressed all of them too!

So when I see a headline in my news feed like this:

"Florida woman attacked by bear while walking dog says she's 'lucky to be alive'"

My first thought there was... lucky to be alive, huh?

...well?

...maybe not.

How do we know that is the case?

It could be that we are all very unlucky that it didn't kill her. Maybe she's a puppy-killing, bible-thumping mask-protesting, anti-vaxxer who needs to go and the entire world would be so much better without her.

Of course I don't know her, maybe she's a sunshine blaring, birds singing, hero of humanity and her death would have been a serious, marvel movie, time-line altering, tragedy for the universe.

Makes you think, tho. Exactly how important is any one person? No one can ever really know.

I think if what she said was, I am "happy" to be alive, not "lucky", it would not have triggered my SN buttons.

Another one...

"How the global chip shortage is boosting US manufacturing"

Wait. You mean the country that doesn't make anything, started making something and that was... good? No!? Say it isn't so!

Another one...

"Amazon is betting you're tired of buying clothes on Amazon."

I have never (and will never) buy clothes on Amazon.

Amazon is Evil. Google is wicked Evil. Walmart... pure Evil.

All massive corporations are Evil.

Unchecked Capitalism leads to casually dismissed, human and animal tragedies every single day.

"5G vs. airline safety: This is why we have a government"

Why we have governments is to help people.  In reality, however, governments don't help anyone.

They gladly depopulate any area to further the twisted logic of whomever is in power.

Always remember that democracy is four wolves and one sheep deciding what's for dinner.

Last one...

"5 ways to save 10 percent on your home energy bills."

Easy. Use ten percent less energy. Buy candles, ditch your time-soul-power sucking mobile phone, your game console, your big screen tv and super deep Fridge.

You'll probably live a longer and happier life without those things, too.

That's all from Super Negative Central. Now back to you...

Not in MY News... Please

There are things that, for me at least, are just NOT news.

Novak Djokovic: Is not news for me and a few articles in my news feeds is fine, but enough already, time to let it go. Stop it. I don't care.

Britney Spears Conservatorship: So glad its over (!), can we never hear about it again? That would be great. Thanks.

Anything related to that fool Trump. Anytime I see a photo in the news feeds I think to myself the article is (or should be): This just in! Trump: Still an Asshole. End of article. Really I literally say that out loud when I see him in pictures in my feeds. I can't help myself.

The problem is any idiot can type up of a story without any facts and sell it online to any news feed they like --for cash. New feeds want to fill empty holes on the screens, I get that, but there used to be integrity and focus in the news stories that got published and read, now, its all a huge mess like most things in the USA.

And please stop picking photos that have nothing to do with the article! I recently saw a story on something the NY Governor said, with a photo captioned something like: "People walk down a lane in California," which is just plain stupid and ridiculous.

So I shot my wad and bitched, but do I offer a solution to my problem? Sure do. Provide me a list that I can add to, to block articles containing certain keywords. Does anyone do this? No, because that would make too much sense for an end-user. Note that I said end-user, not advertiser. I get it, Money is all that matters, ...but it never should be.

Ignore these keywords, is just the sort of power-tool I'd like, maybe you would too?
